Early Career & Family Years
My journey into technology didn't follow the traditional path. After establishing myself in IT and networking, I made the choice many parents consider but few follow through on—I became a stay-at-home parent to be present for my daughters during their formative years. Those years taught me patience, creative problem-solving, and the importance of systems that actually work in the real world.
Career Expo & Spark Alliance
At a career expo, I met John, who would become my boss at Spark Alliance. He saw potential in someone who could think differently about automation and integration. What started as an opportunity became a laboratory for innovation. At Spark Alliance, a nimble four-person team providing networking, security, VoIP, and IT services, I found my calling: building automation workflows that eliminate the friction in business operations.
Mastering n8n & Enterprise Integrations
As Automation Lead, I dove deep into n8n—an incredibly powerful workflow automation platform that most businesses don't know exists. I built integrations connecting HaloPSA (our PSA platform), CloudRadial (client portal), Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and countless other business systems. Each integration solved real problems: automatic ticket routing, client onboarding workflows, PCI compliance assessments, backup monitoring, and security report generation.

The more I automated at Spark Alliance, the more I realized every small business faces these same challenges. That's why I launched Drew B IT—to bring enterprise-grade automation to businesses that can't afford full IT departments but desperately need efficient systems. I'm preparing to showcase these services at the Central Valley Business Expo, where I'll demonstrate how automation isn't just for the Fortune 500.
I'm also pursuing CompTIA A+ certification because I believe in building a complete understanding of technology from the ground up. Whether it's hardware troubleshooting or cloud API integration, every layer of the stack matters when you're architecting reliable solutions.
Current Focus
Today, I split my time between driving automation innovation at Spark Alliance and building client relationships through Drew B IT. I'm working on projects ranging from sophisticated workflow orchestrations to straightforward website rebuilds—each one designed to remove friction and create value.
Beyond work, I'm rebuilding my physical fitness after a knee injury, co-parenting two incredible daughters, and learning what it means to show up authentically in all areas of life. Faith guides my decisions, family motivates my efforts, and technology provides the platform to make a meaningful impact.
